How the drive to Flamingo goes

From LIR the car follows Route 21 south-west to Belén, then Route 155 through Huacas. Instead of turning off for Tamarindo, it continues towards Brasilito and runs along the coast to Flamingo, with the bay appearing on the left just before you arrive.

The road is paved throughout. Expect slower traffic through Huacas and Brasilito, where buses stop and people cross the road.

Fuel stations and supermarkets are found around Huacas, a useful point if you want to stock a villa kitchen on the way in.
