This Cookie Policy explains how HotelTaxi Ltd. uses cookies and similar technologies on hoteltaxi.com and its related web services. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file stored by a website on your browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and identifiers that read or store information on a device.

2. How we use cookies and similar technologies
| Category | Provider | Purpose | Control |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | HotelTaxi | OTP and security sessions, booking continuity, fraud prevention and privacy preferences | Required for services you request. Blocking these in your browser may prevent booking or verification features from working. |
| Analytics | Yandex Metrica and enabled first-party analytics | Understand visits, page use, errors and overall Platform performance | Used only where consent is required and has been provided. |
| Advertising and conversion measurement | Google Ads, Meta Pixel and OpenAI Ads | Attribute enquiries and bookings to advertising and measure campaign performance | Used only where consent is required and has been provided. |
| Feature providers | Google Places, Google Routes and WhatsApp | Return location or route information and provide communications you request | Contacted when you use the relevant feature; providers receive the technical data needed to return it. |
3. Strictly necessary technologies
HotelTaxi uses a short-lived, encrypted otp_session cookie when you request and complete telephone or WhatsApp verification. It helps confirm that a booking action is linked to the verified number, limit verification attempts and protect the booking process. It is marked HttpOnly, Secure in production and SameSite=Lax, and expires automatically after the verification session.
We may also use essential storage to preserve a booking step, maintain security, distribute traffic and remember your privacy choices. These technologies do not require consent where they are strictly necessary to provide the service you request, but we describe them here for transparency.
4. Analytics technologies
With permission where required, Yandex Metrica may measure visits, referral information, interactions, browser and device characteristics, approximate location derived from an IP address, and technical performance. Features such as click maps or session-replay-style measurement may record how a page is used; passwords and payment-card fields are not intended to be captured by HotelTaxi analytics.
Analytics helps us understand whether pages and booking flows work as expected. Analytics is not strictly necessary to book a transfer, so it is not treated as an essential category.
5. Advertising and conversion technologies
With permission where required, Google Ads, Meta Pixel and OpenAI Ads may receive events such as a page visit, transfer enquiry, checkout start or completed booking. Depending on the provider and event, the information may include a cookie or advertising identifier, campaign and referral information, browser or device data, IP-derived data, transaction value and currency, and contact information transformed using cryptographic hashing for matching.
These providers may use information according to their own terms and privacy policies. Advertising technologies are not required to use HotelTaxi's booking service.
6. Google Places, Routes and WhatsApp
When you search for a pickup or destination, HotelTaxi may request location and route information from Google Places or Google Routes. Google may receive your search text, place identifier and standard connection information needed to return the result.
If you choose to communicate through WhatsApp, Meta processes the communication and related technical information through WhatsApp's infrastructure. These interactions are feature requests rather than general website analytics cookies, although the provider's own app or website may use technologies governed by its policy.
7. How long technologies remain
Some cookies last only for the current browser session. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry, until they are replaced, or until you delete them. Exact names and lifetimes can change when a provider updates its technology. HotelTaxi configures provider retention settings to be proportionate to the stated purpose and periodically reviews the technologies in use.
Removing a cookie does not necessarily erase information previously received by HotelTaxi or a provider. Personal data already collected is handled under our Privacy Policy and the relevant provider's policy.
8. Your choices
Where consent is required, you can accept or reject analytics and advertising categories without losing access to the core transfer service. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser. Browser controls vary, but are generally found under Privacy, Security or Site Data settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent telephone verification, reservation or payment-related features from working correctly.
Advertising providers offer additional controls:
9. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when technologies, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
