Sandy streets and a surf village
Punta del Diablo grew from a small fishing community into a popular summer village for surfers, backpackers and families. Its streets are unpaved, sandy or gravel, and many visitors stay in cabins and rental houses rather than hotels.
Cars can reach most addresses, though some lanes are soft after rain or in deep sand. If a lane is impassable, the driver stops as close as possible. Fishing boats still pull up on the beach by the point.
