From the airport the driver heads to the D400 and drives east along the edge of the Dalaman plain. Göcek lies just before the Göcek Tunnel, so you leave the highway at the Göcek junction and drop down to the bay without passing through the toll tunnel.
The town is compact, with a pedestrian-friendly waterfront. The car stops at the nearest accessible point for hotels in the centre.
