Candolim at a glance
Candolim is the southern end of the long beach that starts at Baga and runs past Calangute. It is noticeably calmer than its neighbours, with a wide sandy beach, beach shacks, older family-run hotels and larger resorts towards Sinquerim and Fort Aguada.

The route through Bardez
After the airport access road, the transfer follows the NH66 south through Pernem, crosses the Chapora river and passes through Bardez, usually via the Mapusa area. From there smaller roads lead towards the coast.
Depending on where your hotel is and on traffic, drivers either come through Calangute or use inland roads to reach Candolim from the south-east. The second option often avoids the busiest junctions in the evening. If your hotel is at the southern end towards Sinquerim, expect the upper end of the time range.
