From the airport plateau to the Chapora river
The route leaves the airport towards the NH66 and runs south through Pernem. Depending on traffic, drivers cross the Chapora river either on the highway near Mapusa or further west towards Siolim, then continue through Bardez villages to Anjuna and Vagator.
Vagator sits on the southern bank of the Chapora estuary, with Chapora Fort on the hill above it, and Anjuna lies just south. The final kilometres are on narrow village roads with tight bends, so a calm local driver who knows the lanes is useful.
