From Paradisi to the east coast
The car crosses the island and joins the main east coast road, then continues south past Faliraki and Afandou. Kolymbia lies just off the main road, where a long straight avenue lined with eucalyptus trees leads down towards the sea.
The journey is relaxed and mostly on two-lane roads, with the busiest traffic around Faliraki in high season. Beyond Afandou the hills come closer to the coast, and the outline of Tsambika's rocky headland ahead tells you that Kolymbia is near.
Because the resort sits off the main road, the last few minutes are on quieter side streets leading to the individual hotels.
