Transfers from this airport

Where is Rhodes Airport and how is the island laid out?

The airport, named after the ancient boxer Diagoras, lies at Paradisi on the north-west coast of the island, about a quarter of an hour's drive from the northern tip where Rhodes Town stands.

Most resorts, however, are on the east side of Rhodes. The island is long and fairly narrow, and the drive pattern is simple: north to the town, across the island to the east coast for Faliraki and Kolymbia, then a long run south along the main east coast road for Lindos, Pefkos and Kiotari.

How a transfer from Rhodes Airport works

  1. Book with your flight details

Enter your arrival date, flight number, hotel or villa address and the number of travellers. Mention child seats, buggies, bicycles or diving gear at this point.

  2. Agree the price

The total is shown before you book and stays the same if the flight lands late or the road is busy. Payment is handled by HotelTaxi.

  3. Meet your driver

After baggage reclaim and customs, your driver waits in the arrivals area with your name. The local provider confirms the exact meeting point with you by phone or WhatsApp.

  4. Ride straight to your door

The car is reserved for your party only, with no detours to other hotels.

Choosing a car or a minivan on Rhodes

A standard car is fine for one to three people with normal suitcases. Families with several large cases, groups of friends and anyone bringing golf bags, bikes or diving equipment usually travel better in a minivan, which seats up to about seven. Larger vehicles can be requested for bigger parties.

Some villas in the hills and old village houses sit on narrow lanes. If your accommodation is in such a spot, add a short note when booking so the provider can plan the closest stop.

Season, sea and history

Rhodes is a summer destination: the main season runs from May to October, with the busiest weeks in July and August, when charter flights from across Europe arrive in waves and the arrivals hall can be crowded.

Beyond the beaches, visitors come for the Old Town of Rhodes with its Palace of the Grand Master, the acropolis of Lindos and the inland villages. In summer a steady northerly wind keeps the west coast breezy, which is one reason most beach hotels face east.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Rhodes Airport from the main resorts?

Rhodes Town and Faliraki are both under 40 minutes away, Kolymbia around 35–45 minutes. Lindos, Pefkos and Kiotari in the south-east take roughly one hour to one and a half hours by private car.

What happens if my flight to Rhodes is delayed?

Share your flight number when booking so the local provider can follow your arrival. The agreed price does not change because of a delay or traffic.

Can I book a transfer for a large family or group?

Yes. Minivans for up to about seven passengers are common, and larger vehicles can be requested. State the number of travellers and suitcases so the right vehicle is sent.

Is the transfer shared with other passengers?

No. Every booking is a private ride for your party only, taking you directly from the airport to your accommodation without stops at other hotels.

Are child seats available on Rhodes?

Child seats can be requested when you book. Give the age of each child so the provider can prepare suitable seats.
