Luštica Bay is a marina resort with a hotel, apartments and villas on the Luštica peninsula near Radovići, facing the open sea at the mouth of the Bay of Kotor.
Which way does the driver go to Luštica Bay?
Although the peninsula lies just across the water from Herceg Novi, there is no direct road over the bay mouth. After the Karasovići–Debeli Brijeg border the car follows the coast to Kamenari and usually takes the short car ferry to Lepetane.
From Lepetane the road runs along the Tivat side of the bay and then turns south onto Luštica towards Radovići. If the ferry is busy, the driver can go all the way round the bay instead, which takes longer.
Arriving at the resort
- Gated resort roads
- The resort has its own access roads. Give the exact building or villa name when booking so the driver can bring you to the right entrance.
- Villas and apartments
- Some residences are on sloping streets above the marina. If you need help with luggage, arrange it with the reception in advance.
- Nearby beaches
- The sandy Plavi Horizonti beach is close by on the peninsula, a short taxi or car ride from the resort.
Travelling with boats, golf clubs or a family
Guests often come for the marina and longer stays, so luggage tends to be heavy. A minivan gives space for family suitcases, pushchairs and sailing kit; declare golf bags or other equipment when booking.
Child seats can be requested in advance, which helps on the winding peninsula roads.
Scheduling the return trip
With nearly two hours of driving plus a border crossing, schedule the pickup about 4.5–5 hours before departure between June and September, and roughly 4 hours in the off-season.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the transfer from Dubrovnik Airport to Luštica Bay take?
Typically 111–139 minutes for 63 km, not including border waits. A busy ferry can add more time.
Is Luštica Bay closer to Dubrovnik or Tivat Airport?
Tivat is much closer by road. Dubrovnik is a practical option when it offers better flights, as long as you allow for the border.
Does the car take the Kamenari–Lepetane ferry?
Usually yes, as it avoids the long drive round the bay. You stay in the vehicle, and the driver may choose the bay road instead if the queue is long.
How much is a minivan from DBV to Luštica Bay?
A minivan for up to seven passengers typically costs around €140–180. The exact price is shown before you book.
Can the driver take me to my villa inside the resort?
Normally the driver brings you to the address you give when booking. Share the building or villa name and check with the resort whether vehicles need to register at the entrance.
