This is the longest of the common beach transfers from AYT, so a direct car with no hotel stops makes a real difference after a flight.

What the two-hour drive to Alanya looks like

Almost the entire trip follows the D400, the main highway along the Turkish Riviera. After leaving the airport the road runs east past the turn-offs for Belek, then through the farmland around Serik and the busy town of Manavgat, where traffic often slows.

Beyond Manavgat the highway passes the resort villages of Okurcalar, Avsallar, Türkler and Konaklı before the castle rock of Alanya appears ahead. Most of the road is dual carriageway, but it runs through many built-up stretches with traffic lights, which is why the time range is fairly wide.

Where your Alanya hotel might be

Konaklı and the western edge
Large resort hotels on the coast road, reached a little before the town itself. The drive ends at the shorter end of the time range.
Central Alanya and Cleopatra Beach
City hotels and apartments around the long sandy beach west of the castle peninsula, with shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Around the harbour and castle
Older streets near the Red Tower and the marina are steep and narrow in places, so the driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach.
Oba, Kestel and Mahmutlar
Residential districts east of the centre with many holiday flats. Add some minutes for town traffic, and share the full address when you book.

Planning the return from Alanya to Antalya Airport

Because the trip can approach two and a half hours on busy days, ask for a pickup about five hours before your departure time. That allows for traffic through Manavgat and the usual check-in and security queues at Antalya.

Saturdays and Sundays in high summer are the main changeover days for package holidays, and the D400 is noticeably fuller then. Your driver can stop briefly for a rest or a drink on the way if you ask.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the transfer from Antalya Airport to Alanya take?

Usually 119–149 minutes for the 126 km drive. The lower end applies to hotels on the western side, such as Konaklı, and quiet times of day; Mahmutlar and summer weekend traffic push it toward the upper end.

Can the driver stop for a break during the journey?

Yes, a short stop at a roadside service area is normally possible on a drive of this length. Mention it to the driver at the start, especially if you travel with young children.

Should I fly into Gazipaşa instead of Antalya?

Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport is closer to Alanya but has fewer routes, many of them seasonal. If you find a convenient flight there, it saves road time; otherwise Antalya with a direct private transfer works well.

What does a minivan cost for a family to Alanya?

A minivan for up to about seven people typically costs around €95–120 for this route. The exact price for your date and group size is shown before you confirm.
