Transfers from this airport
Arriving at Krabi Airport
Krabi has domestic flights from Bangkok and other Thai cities and international flights from several Asian hubs, with extra seasonal flights in the northern winter. Many travellers from Europe change planes in Bangkok or another regional hub before landing here.
After immigration (on international arrivals) and baggage reclaim you walk into the arrivals area, where your driver waits with a name sign. Exact meeting details are confirmed by the local provider with you by phone or WhatsApp before or on arrival.
Please add your flight number when you book. The provider can then follow the real landing time, and the agreed price does not change if your flight is late.

Which vehicle to choose
A standard car suits up to three passengers with normal luggage. Families and groups of up to about seven usually book a minivan, which also has room for diving bags, strollers or a golf bag. Larger vehicles can be requested for bigger groups.
Child seats can be requested when booking. If you travel with diving gear, surfboards or bicycles, declare them at booking so the provider sends a vehicle with enough space. Minivan prices on the routes above are usually around €8–15 higher than a car.
Krabi's beach season
The main travel season on the Andaman coast runs from November to April, when the sea is usually calm and island boat trips run most reliably. December to February is the busiest period, with many arrivals from Scandinavia, Germany, the UK, France and the Netherlands.
From about May to October the south-west monsoon brings heavier rain and rougher seas. Roads stay open, but sudden downpours can slow traffic, and some smaller resorts on Koh Lanta reduce their services or close for part of the low season.
Getting back to Krabi Airport
Plan to arrive at the airport about two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international one. From Ao Nang that means leaving roughly three hours before an international departure; from Klong Muang allow around three and a quarter hours, and from Tubkaek about three and a half.
From Koh Lanta, leave at least four and a half to five hours before an international flight, because the car-ferry crossing can involve waiting. Your provider will agree the exact pickup time with you.
Frequently asked questions
How far is Krabi Airport from Ao Nang?
The drive is 26 km and usually takes 38–48 minutes. A private car typically costs around €22–30, and the exact price is shown before you book.
Is the price fixed if my flight lands late?
Yes. The total price is agreed before booking and does not change for traffic or a delayed flight. Add your flight number so the driver can follow your arrival.
Can I get a car directly to Koh Lanta?
Yes. The road route crosses to the island by car ferry, so the private vehicle drives onto the ferry with you. Please check in your offer whether ferry fees are included.
How do I get to Railay from the airport?
Railay has no road access. Take a private transfer to Ao Nang, then a longtail boat from the beach, which takes a few minutes depending on conditions.
Do you have vehicles for families and diving gear?
Yes. Minivans for up to about seven passengers are available, and child seats can be requested. Declare diving bags or other equipment at booking so the right vehicle is sent.
