Varna International Airport (VAR) is the third largest international airport of Bulgaria. Located in Varna city and operated by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management. The airport resides at an elevation of 70 m above mean sea level. The airport has two terminals, Terminal 2 is the newest terminal and used the most by travellers. The older Terminal 1 is mainly used during the summer. In the building of Terminal 2 there are 25 check-in desks. 24 Aircraft Parking Stands in total. Varna International Airport has one runway, it’s 2,517 m long.

ABOUT VARNA CITY
Varna is a major tourist destination and the biggest city at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.City situated in the Gulf of Varna with over 11 km long, its width, including the new residential quarters is nearly 9 km. Varna is the most interesting  and maritime capital  town on the Black Sea coast  with a population of 450,000.

Varna is a modern city, with wide, clean and green boulevards, a fine park on the waterfront, and spacious beaches. And, there are plenty of unique sights to see too, including the oldest gold treasure in the world, a monastery built into a cave, and a Disney-esque cathedral. Along the coast north of Varna there are very popular resort towns, including Druzhba, Zlatni Pyassŭtsi , Albena, Balchik and Sunny Beach. Very famous Golden Sands also located on seashore of Varna.

You can find Bulgaria’s largest Roman baths complex and its finest archaeological museum in city center.

Varna has a great location and is has mild climate throughout the year. Tourists throng to Varna during July and August as this is the main holidaying season. You can visit the city anytime between May to October as the temperature remains more moderate.

The airport is situated on the Northern Black Sea coast, about 8 km outside the city of Varna.  There are many different travel options available to get in touristic centers of Varna.
