Sofia International Airport (SOF) is the main international airport of Bulgaria. Located in centre of the capital city Sofia and operated by Sofia Airport EAD. Sofia International Airport is spread over an area of 56 850 m². The airport resides at an elevation of 531 m above mean sea level The airport has two terminals, Terminal 2 is the newest terminal and used the most by travellers. The older Terminal 1 is mainly used by low cost airlines and charter carriers. In the building of Terminal 2 there are 7 passenger boarding bridges, 12 elevators , 7 escalators, 34 check-in desks , 3 baggage reclaim conveyors and 800-space parking garage. Sofia International Airport has one runway, it’s 3,600 m long

ABOUT SOFIA CITY
One of Europe’s oldest city Sofia is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria with1.3 million population. Sofia is located in the western part of the country, on The Sofia Plain and on the lower slopes of Mount Vitosha.
