ABOUT PODGORICA CITY

The capital city Podgorica is close to winter ski centres  and about 50 km from the Adriatic sea. Podgorica is also the Montenegro 's largest city, having a population around 200,000 people.

Podgorica today, as one of the European capitals, with that characteristic, is becoming a subject of interest of the tourist population. A typical old turkish town called "Stars Varoš" has narrow and curved streets with its historical mosques and old clock tower build by Turks. But for foreign visitors, most atractive place is National Park Skardarsko or Skadar Lake, biggest lake in Balkan, with amazing number of birds and plants.

Podgorica is situated in the south part of the north mild zone, on the touch of the Mediterranean continental climate.
