ABOUT GENOA
Genoa (Genova) is the most important port in Italy and capital of the Province of Genoa in Liguria, Northern Italy. It is a long, narrow, sprawling city covering an area of 243 sq.km and has 30 kilometres of coastline.

Also another most noticeable landmark in Genoa is 'La Lanterna' which is a 76 metre high, 12th century lighthouse in the port. Built on top of a natural rock it actually reaches a height of 117 metres and is the fifth tallest and third oldest light house in the world.
Genoa has a Mediterranean climate, with mild and rainy winters, and hot and sunny summers. If you enjoy sunny and warm weather, then it is good to visit during the summer season from May to September. April and March also great time to enjoy the city.
